The part is subjected to an intense magnetic flux by Magnetic Particle Inspection, which is deviated by the presence of a defect. This escape attracts the particles of the product and the defects now are clearly visible as fluorescent lines.
Components are magnetized and Fluorescent Magnetic Ink FLUXO 6 is applied to the test area, normally by spraying immediately prior to and during magnetization. Application of Fluorescent Magnetic Ink FLUXO 6 should cease before the magnetization is switched off. Defects will show up as well defined fluorescent indications and inspection should take place in good UV Light of at least 1500 μW/cm².
